International Driver's Document

A multilingual translation of your valid driver licence to help car rental agencies and authorities understand your driving credentials abroad. It is not a substitute for your original licence and does not confer any driving privileges on its own.

  • Validity: 4 years from the issue date, or the expiration date of your driver licence—whichever is sooner.
  • Use it with: Your physical driver licence (must be carried together).

Requirements​

  • Valid driver licence (not suspended or expired)
  • Recent passport-style photo
  • Copy of your passport or national ID

How to apply​

  1. Sign in to ePortal.
  2. Select International Driver's Document under Travel Documents.
  3. Upload scans of your licence and ID and provide a passport-style photo.
  4. Enter your mailing address for delivery.
  5. Pay the translation fee and submit.

Processing time: 3-5 business days.

Receiving your document​

Your International Driver's Document will be mailed to the address you provide during the application. Please ensure your mailing address is accurate and up to date.
